For the long-term operation in the weight-measuring equipment market RPE “METRA” found regular customers among companies in the food industry:
Specialists of ”METRA” developed a wide range of weight-measuring instruments adopted for long-term operation under harsh industrial environments. METRA-produced weighing systems are used for centralized and unbiased weighing stock-taking during raw material acceptance, component mixing, sorting out of defective items, interdepartmental shift, stock-taking of finished products and recording during commercial shipment, and allow to provide total weighing control of production process.

Sugar refinery
Raw material acceptance: Car and truck scales are used for raw material (white beet) acceptance at the plants.
Sugar production: METRA upgrades old mechanical batchers, used for sugar refinery. When mechanical part is replaced with a load cells, batching accuracy is increased substantially, and productivity rises. METRA also produces batchers for automatic weighing for the purpose of sugar packing during crushing.
Shipment: Shipment of finished products is executed by means of METRA truck scales.
Poultry factories
Raw material acceptance: Car scales (with possible unloading on scales) or truck scales are used during acceptance of raw material for mixed feed preparation (grain, bran, vegetable oil) and ready mixed feed in poultry factories.
Mixed feed preparation: For mixed feed preparation METRA offers discrete hopper batchers and special software which controls the batching process, supports database and stores receipts of various feed types. Moreover, METRA upgrades old batchers, thus increasing batching accuracy and rising productivity of feed processing shop as a whole. METRA also mounts load cells to the bins and silos.
Slaughter department: METRA offers floor scales for weighing, packaging and marking of finished products. METRA also offers special software for product identification traceability.
Shipment: Shipment of finished products is executed by means of METRA truck and floor scales.
Feed mill
Raw material stock-taking: Car or truck scales are used for raw material (grain) acceptance at the plants.
Production: For mixed feed preparation METRA offers discrete hopper batchers and special software which controls the batching process, supports database and stores receipts of various feed types. Moreover, METRA upgrades old batchers, thus increasing batching accuracy and rising productivity of feed processing shop as a whole. METRA also mounts load cells to the bins and silos.
Shipment: Shipment of finished products is executed by means of METRA truck and car scales.
Baking plant
Raw material acceptance: Car scales (with possible unloading on scales) or truck scales are used during raw material (grain) acceptance at the plants.
Raw material stock-taking: METRA offers hopper scales and flow meters for overweighing (when products are transferred from one department to another) and bulk batching. For domestic calculation of bulk supplied from storage devices to production, METRA produces scales for weighing in flow, that are built in existing conveyors.
Shipment: Shipment of finished products is executed by means of METRA truck and car scales.
Fat-and-oil plants
Raw material acceptance: Truck or car scales are used for raw material (seed) acceptance at the plants.
Production: For weighing of reservoirs with oil METRA offers weighing systems based on load cells. METRA hopper scales can be used in production process. For weighing and packaging of finished products METRA offers floor scales.
Shipment: Shipment of finished products is executed by means of METRA truck and car scales.
Distillery
Raw material acceptance: Raw material acceptance Car scales (with possible unloading on scales) or truck scales are used during raw material (malt, grain) acceptance at the plants.
