Specialists of ”METRA” developed a wide range of weight-measuring instruments adopted for long-term operation under harsh industrial environments. METRA-produced weight-measuring systems are used for centralized and unbiased weighing stock-taking during raw material acceptance, component mixing, sorting out of defective items, interdepartmental shift, stock-taking of finished products and recording during commercial shipment, and allow to provide total weighing control of production process.
Weighing system benefits

Asphalt-concrete plant
Raw material acceptance: Car and truck scales are used for raw material acceptance (road-metal, sand) at asphalt-producing plants.
Asphalt preparation: METRA upgrades old mechanical batchers for asphalt preparation. Error during dosing can spoil the whole asphalt batch. When mechanical part is replaced with a load cells, batching accuracy is increased substantially, and productivity rises. Software allows to support database of consumed raw materials, to create and change receipts of various asphalt grades in a short time.
Asphalt shipment: Shipment of finished products is executed by means of METRA truck scales.
Concrete plant
Raw material acceptance: Car and truck scales are used for raw material acceptance (road-metal, sand) at concrete-producing plants.
Concrete preparation: For concrete preparation METRA offers discrete hopper batchers and special software which controls the batching process, supports database and stores receipts of various concrete grades. Moreover, METRA upgrades old batchers for cement, sand, road-metal, thus increasing batching accuracy and rising productivity as a whole.
Shipment: Usually concrete mixers are loaded by means of prepared concrete batcher, but sometimes trucks are weighed at the exit by means of truck scales for the purpose of control.
Cement plant
Raw material stock-taking: Main components for cement preparation – loam and limestone – are delivered from open pits by heavy haulers. For delivered raw material stock-taking at cement plants METRA offers truck scales for BelAZ weighing. To exclude human element and possible upward distortion METRA developed an identification system.

Data transmission circuit
All trucks are equipped with radio-frequency mark. Weighing results are automatically added to the database by means of radio-frequency reader mounted on the scales, and then data is transmitted to the office via network.

Production: Loam, limestone and slag from crusher enter clinker furnace according to the given ratio. Raw material is fed by means of METRA-produced conveyor batchers.
Shipment: For cement shipment METRA offers new car and truck scales, and also old mechanical scales updating.
Road-metal plant
Raw material stock-taking: For stock-taking of road-metal from the open pit METRA offers truck scales for BelAZ weighing with truck identification system, which allows to support database without weight operator’s participation.
Shipment: Car loading with road-metal is controlled by means of car and conveyor scales. METRA produces scales for weighing in flow that are built in existing conveyors.
