Conveyor-type continuous batcher Ì8401

Application: The batcher is used for management of technological processes related to continuous bulk feed to the plant. The batcher is used for continuous and cyclic batching automation (including packaging units) and also for stock-taking of material consumption in various fields of industry.

Description: It is provided for continuous batching and total calculation of bulk (grain, bran, cereals, seeds, granulated sugar, dry pulp and other fine granulated and powder products). It is recommended to use the batcher for weighing and batching of fine-dyspersated lump and dust-forming materials. Batchers are used in engineering processes of metal manufacture, for treatment of cement, metal mining, coal and construction materials, and also in other fields of industry.


Conveyor-type batcher is a belt conveyor with adjustable asynchronous drive operated by electronic controller and equipped with weight-measuring system on load cells and belt speed sensor. Material passing above weight-measuring instrument is continuously weighed and belt speed is measured during operation. Based on obtained data the controller calculates current batcher output, and, if necessary, changes belt speed to eliminate set value deviation. Control cabinet on microprocessor technology has a digital indicator, and also analogous and interface outputs for connection to the upper-level automated control system. To create a scale network it is possible to connect up to 16 batchers to the computer. The batcher is a complete plant in engineering processes control systems, but it also can be applied separately. Standard functions

  • indication of shipped mass counter, current output, counting time, linear density, belt speed values;
  • remote transfer of current productivity values (or linear density values) as a DC signal 4-20mÀ;
  • current parameters transfer via serial interface RS485;
  • error display;
  • working modes:
    • “autonomous” – batching with values keyboard entry;
    • “complex” – batching with computer-assigned values;
    • “setting-up” – adjustment and calibration.

Software: Driver DevCom provides basic set of communication functions:
  • It allows to setup connection,
  • To transfer operator’s commands to the scale terminal,
  • Receive and display weighing results, and also transfer them to the backup indicator panel (if any),
  • It also has the same functions if DevCom is started from the user application (examples are included in the delivery set).
If you need to connect several scales to one PC using network bus RS485, you should use the driver "DEVNet", supplied on request.
