Ì0801 Digital load cell signal converter
Designation
It is provided for load cell analog signal conversion in a digital signal and its transfer via RS485 interface. It is built in strain-gauge systems: electronic scales, batchers, control and engineering equipment.
Benefits
- Direct load cell connection without additional couplings;
- 6-wire load cell connection layout;
- high accuracy;
- high resolution ratio (24 orders of digital code);
- simplicity and serviceability;
- wide temperature range (from -30 to +40 Ñ);
- built-in galvanic isolated digital interface RS485;
- galvanic isolated supply;
- strain-gauge converter program update.

Description:
There are three converter models:
- Ì0801-P – as a module on a printed circuit board, protected from mechanical failures by means of safety case.
- Ì0801-1 – in aluminum waterproof case with two cable outputs.
- Ì0801-4 – in aluminum waterproof case with summing cardboard and five cable inputs.
Model Ì0801-4 sums up signal of four load cells connected in parallel.
Adjustment of M0801-based weight-measuring system is carried out without analog regulating elements, using computer or external terminal. Adjustment data is saved in nonvolatile storage mounted on converter cardboard; number of recording cycles is not less than 100000.
Load cell cable and digital communication cable connection is carried out via screw clamps mounted on the cardboard.
Ì0801 provides several inquiry methods via RS485: cyclic inquiry mode during operation in the network of similar devices, permanent transmission mode and answer to the inquiry.
Basic set
- Strain-gauge converter Ì0801-(Ï/1/4);
- Operation manual;
- CD with basic software, including driver MpsDrv;
- Programmer’s manual with communication protocol description.
Standard functions
- Analog signal conversion to the digital one;
- Signal cleaning from high-frequency pickup;
- Preliminary signal treatment: ranging, averaging;
- Set parameters of signal output and treatment;
- set parameters saving in EEPROM;
- digital signal transfer viaRS485;
- operation in strain-gauge converter network.
Driver MpsDrv, included in the basic set, is a tool for flexible, and at the same time simple and intuitively clear strain-gauge converter adjustment. It can be used as a data transmission tool from strain-gauge converter network to the operational system, using modern COM-technology of Windows 9X/NT environment.
