Interface connector Incon MT
The connector is provided for galvanic isolation and mutual electrical coordination of interface RS232 and RS485 signals.
The connector allows to make a local star network with total length of communication line not more than 500 m and containing not more than 31 connected units.
Technical specification
- Connector provides galvanic isolation voltage between interface circuits equal to not more than 500 V.
- Connector provides bidirectional half-duplex data transfer with transmission speed range 0...57600 bit/s without any prior user setup.
- Maximum total length of communication line amounts to 500m using STP or 5-class UTP cable.
- Connector provides one bidirectional bus connection to 31 units with external interface RS485 via twisted-pair cable.
- An external power source with voltage 9...15V DC is needed for bus RS484 circuit’s power supply. Output current of the supply unit depends on the number of connected devices. All connectors attached to the same bus should be supplied from one source attached to the INCON connector.
Arrangement and principle of operation
Connector contains of:
- junction of circuits TxD, RxD, DTR, SG;
- galvanic isolated unit;
- junction of bus-bar RS485;
- supply regulation unit;
- DB-9M joint for connection of circuits A (DATA+), B (DATA-) of RS485 bus-bar and circuits "+V" and "COM" for power supply connection;
- DB-9F joint for circuit connection.
LED displays "TxD", "RxD", "PWR" and explaining inscriptions are located at the top cover of the connector.
