Speed sensors
Designation: This device is used for conveyor belt speed measurement during operation with conveyor-type strain-gauge meter “Microsim-0600-K4”, and as a rotary speed meter in other measuring systems.
By means of structural elements the measuring wheel is pressed to the moving belt; it transforms forward movement of the belt to rotational movement of the shaft.
Circuit output stage is an open collector. It allows to increase noise proof feature of strain-gauge meter communication line. Communication cable enters the sensor frame through the sealed cable entry.

Ì4205 (IDS-1)
A measuring disc with evenly located openings is mounted at shaft in the frame.
Electric transducer board is located transversely to the measuring disc, and it has a notch for the disc with openings. An open optoelectronic couple consisting of infrared LED and photodiode facing one another is mounted on the board. During disc rotation, openings pass through optoelectronic couple gap and open an optical channel. At that the photodiode produces a signal which is amplified and normalized by electric circuit. Terminal block located on the transducer board is used for communication line connection.

IDS-2
IDS-2 is designed for conveyor batchers. It allows to operate at low speed – up to 2mm/s.
An optical rotation sensor is located at shaft in the frame. Optical sensor has a resolution equal to 1000 pulses per one turn of the measuring wheel. Electric transducer board is located in the frame beyond the optical sensor. The board has clamp connectors for data and sensor circuit feeder’s connection, sensor signal decoding circuit, feed circuit and clamp connector for communication cable.

Electronic circuit of transducer board is assembled to prevent false response at measuring wheel reverse rotation. If for some reason (belt vibration) the measuring wheel rotated in reverse, count pulses will be not given to speed sensor output before the wheel is in its initial position. Registered deviation angle of the measuring wheel <= 45°
The gauge consists of:
- Measuring wheel;
- shaft;
- optical rotation sensor (encoder);
- electric transducer board;
- frame with fastening elements.
