The connection box with device lightning protection elements.

The box is provided for load cells connection and preset resistor and lightning protection elements arrangement. The box is provided for joint operation with Microsim-06 weight-measuring instruments (later – device). If connection cable between the box and device is laid outside the building, it is recommended to connection the device through lightning protection device, for example, М4002-1. The box М4805-5А has four input terminals for load cells connection and one input terminal for similar box М4805-5А connection. It is used in two-deck scales. According to environment climatic factors resistance, the box corresponds to UHL performance of category 2.1 GOST 15150, for operation at temperature from -30 to + 40 oС.

Lightning protection arrangement

Lightning protection action is based on two-stage limitation of amplitude of peak overvoltage that occur at device output cable to safe level, and earthing of main pickup energy. The first stage based on gas discharger provides main part of pickup energy suppression. The second stage based on protective diodes suppresses remained portion of pickup energy and increases general protection quick-action. Grounding conductor is connected to the earth terminal on the device body. Adjustment elements on device card allow to regulate load cell sensitivity if needed.
