Application:
Car scales M8300 are designed for stock-taking during receipt and supply of products transported by railroad.
Description:
The scales are provided for cars and tanks static weighing during stock-taking and engineering processes at industrial and transport enterprises.
The scales are produced in compliance with requirements of GOST 29329 “Scales for static weighing. General technical requirements”, TU4274-200-10850066-98 and recommendations of MOZM R-76.
The scales consist of two main units: loading area and weight-measuring instrument connected by cable. Loading area consists of one, two or three working sections and interim sections, if necessary. Working sections are installed on four column-type load cells through built-in joints. Load cell signals enter the junction board which has 6-wire cable connection with weight-measuring instrument. Loading area interim sections are installed on concrete basement and are filled up with concrete. In some models working sections are also filled up with concrete for additional rigidity. Moreover, units installed in embankments are equipped with safety casing.

Scales features depending on structure type
METRA produces car scales with 1-3 weighing platforms.
- Car weighing at the scales with 1 weighing platform is carried out in two stages (trolley-by-trolley). These scales are called the scales for weighing by trolleys. Among benefits of these scales are: small volume of earth and concrete work, low price, and also ability to weigh cars with any distance between trolleys. It is necessary to take into account that during two-stage car weighing, the weighing error and weighing time are larger, than during car weighing as a whole. We recommend trolley scales to customers who need to weigh several cars with inexpensive freight (road-metal, sand). We do not recommend trolley scales for weighing of tanks containing liquid.
- Scales with 2 weighing platforms are provided for car weighing as a whole. Length of weighing platform and interim platform is selected in compliance with types of cars being weighed. Two-platform scales are the right choice for the most customers.
- Scales with 3 platforms are the most universal ones. They allow to weigh almost any cars coupled in any order without uncoupling. It is necessary to remember that if you weigh cars without uncoupling, an additional error can appear due to coupling influence. Scales certificate contains permissible error limits for weighing with uncoupling. We recommend three-platform scales to those customers who need to weigh large number of cars of different types, and when there is no possibility to uncouple cars.
