METRA produces scales for weighing static vehicles and vehicles in motion. When a vehicle entirely stays on the platform, it is possible to weigh it with maximum accuracy, so METRA recommends to use static weighing. Scales for static vehicle weighing are characterized with GWL (the greatest weighing limit) and platform length. METRA offers scales with platform length from 8 to 22 m and the greatest weighing limit from 20 to 60 tons. Platform structure made of several sections is easy-mountable and does not require special vehicle for transportation.
METRA developed scales that are installed in pit or above-ground with ramps for vehicles.
Manufactured truck weigh-in-motion scales can be used by road department for axle load control. Vehicle gross weight is determined as a sum of each axle weighing results.
For heavy haulers METRA developed scales of special purpose. The scales with rugged platforms and heavy-duty load cells allow to weigh vehicles of weight up to 150 tons.
